About

Hello, I’m Oliver Pettyfer. I am a software engineer with a strong background in problem-solving and customer service.

In my previous roles, I have worked within a Police Force where on a daily basis I would be faced with time-sensitive problems that would need solving with a dynamic risk assessment.

After taking time out of the Police Force I followed a passion for travel and photography. This led to creating a travel blog and sparked an interest in Web Development. After teaching myself the basics of HTML and CSS, I decided to enroll in the SEI 21 General Assembly course to enable me to develop this newfound passion for coding. Having a customer who is extremely pleased with the results of my work drives me and gives me the motivation to tackle more difficult challenges.

My fixation for attention to detail, and providing results in a timely manner has allowed me to progress within my current career.

Going forward I am now looking for my next challenge as a junior front-end developer.

My idea was to start small with this project, then add extra features such as levels once the MVP had been met. For this game the MVP was to be able to show a selection of images and when a correct matching pair is clicked an event would occur, in this instance a point scored.
